The Book

Spirit of Service prompts you to engage with short daily readings that explore the many ways you can get involved in service to others. With 365 specific suggestions organized into seven key themes (Money, Energy, Focus, Influence, Compassion, Support, and Passage), it shows there is truly a calling for everyone.

Spirit of Service provides daily ways to serve in every arena, including the environment, human rights, elder care, youth services, hunger relief, animal conservation, troop support, green living, the arts, literacy, historic preservation, civic participation, and more.

You can start the book at any time of the year and dip in and out as time allows or as your interests evolve. It is a guided experience that allows you to look at all the ways that you can get involved — from serving your neighbor or your community as a whole, or national service, to actions that impact the world. This daily devotional will stir the soul and inspire every reader to meet the challenge of helping others with hope, energy, personal resources, and innovation.
